IMD Red Alert: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has put out new weather warnings as the southwest monsoon keeps pouring widespread rainfall over big chunks of the country. A few states are likely to see heavy to extremely heavy rain in the coming 24 hours. The weather agency went ahead and issued both Red Alert and Orange Alert messages.

This spell of strong monsoon activity has already caused waterlogging, annoying traffic issues, overflowing rivers, and some pockets of localised flooding in multiple areas. Local officials have asked people to stay watchful and skip non-essential travel during spells of very heavy rain. This stick to the official weather updates.

IMD Red Alert: Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and West Bengal Face Extremely Heavy Rain

The IMD has placed parts of Maharashtra, West Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal under a Red Alert. This may indicate the likelihood of extremely heavy rainfall that could disrupt normal life.

In Maharashtra, cities like Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, and the nearby regions may keep getting persistent rainfall. This may lead to waterlogging and road snarls. In Madhya Pradesh, districts around Bhopal and Indore, plus adjoining areas, could get intense showers. At the same time, in the northeast, cities such as Guwahati and Shillong are also expected to face very heavy rainfall. This raises the risk of flooding and landslides. In the north of West Bengal, around Siliguri, rain may continue for a while due to the active monsoon setup.

Orange Alert Issued for Gujarat, Bihar, Rajasthan, Kerala, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and Northeast States

Several other states have been put on Orange Alert, predicting heavy to very heavy rains. These have been Gujarat, Bihar, East Rajasthan, Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka, West Uttar Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and East Madhya Pradesh.

Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Patna, Kochi, Bengaluru, Mangaluru and Meerut may witness heavy rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds. In urban areas localised flooding, reduced visibility and traffic delays are possible.

Mumbai, Pune, Bhopal, Guwahati, Shillong and Siliguri Among Areas Likely to Witness Intense Rainfall

Active monsoon conditions are expected to continue to affect several large cities.

Heavy rain along with waterlogging in low-lying areas is likely at Mumbai and Pune. Bhopal and its adjoining districts may experience heavy downpours while Guwahati and Shillong are vulnerable to floods due to incessant rains. Heavy rain in the neighbouring hill regions could hit Siliguri, disrupting road connectivity and raising the risk of landslides.

“Residents in these cities are encouraged to stay tuned to local weather updates. to avoid travelling on flooded roads whenever possible.”

Why Has IMD Issued Red and Orange Rain Alerts Across Multiple Indian States?

The IMD said the southwest monsoon is active over central, western, southern and northeastern India. Winds bringing moisture from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal, along with favourable atmospheric conditions, are likely to continue widespread rainfall for the next few days.

With these weather systems, isolated spells of very heavy rain are likely in some areas. as of now, increasing the chances of flash floods, rivers overflowing and landslides in vulnerable locations.

IMD Rain Advisory: Safety Tips for Residents in Flood-Prone Cities and Hilly Regions

The IMD has advised people in the affected states to remain vigilant and follow the advisories issued by the local authorities.

People were urged not to travel unless necessary, to stay away from flooded roads and rivers, to secure items outside and to keep emergency supplies ready and monitor official weather updates during the heavy rains. Those living in hilly regions should remain alert for possible landslides and road closures.

Heavy Rain Forecast: Monsoon to Continue Over Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Northeast and South India

The weather department said that active monsoon conditions are likely to continue over many parts of the country in the next few days. Very heavy rain is likely over western, central, northeastern and southern states. Isolated places are likely to get very heavy to extremely heavy rain.

“The rain will assist in water storage and agriculture but could also cause disruption in transportation, power supply and daily life in vulnerable areas. The IMD has been issuing regular weather updates, and residents are advised to keep track of these. You may follow instructions issued by local administrations as the weather situation develops.

Mumbai Weather

Heavy to extremely heavy showers are likely around Mumbai today; there is a real chance of waterlogging in low-lying pockets, plus traffic may get messed up. People should get ready for those really intense monsoon bursts pretty much through the whole day.

Pune Weather

Pune should see moderate rain, maybe even heavy rain, along with thunderstorms. Short, broken spells of rain can keep coming, especially later, like afternoon and evening time.

Delhi-NCR Weather

Delhi is expected to get thunderstorms with lightning and moderate rainfall along with gusty winds. A quick burst of heavy rain might mess with peak travel hours, though, briefly but enough to slow things down.

Noida Weather

Noida will likely receive moderate rain with thunderstorms, plus a few bouts of gusty wind. Cloudy conditions should stick around all day – no real break.

Ghaziabad Weather

Ghaziabad is forecast for moderate rainfall and thunderstorms. During the heavier stretches, water may collect in low areas. You should be careful if you’re stepping out.

Gurugram (Gurgaon) Weather

Gurugram is likely to face thunderstorms, moderate rain and gusty winds. During the more intense spell, you can expect traffic disruption, delays and the usual chaos.

Faridabad Weather

Faridabad is going to stay cloudy with moderate rain, plus thunderstorms. Humid conditions are expected too, and sometimes heavy showers may pop in, off and on.

Sonipat Weather

Sonipat may get light to moderate rainfall along with thunderstorms. Still, isolated very heavy showers cannot be totally ruled out.

Chandigarh Weather

Chandigarh is expected to see scattered rain and thunderstorms. Temperatures should feel fairly pleasant, while cloudy skies remain in place for most of the day.

Ambala Weather

Ambala is forecast to receive moderate rain and thunderstorms. There could be a few short heavy spells during the afternoon period. Hence, you should keep an eye on the sky.

Panchkula Weather

Panchkula may see scattered showers and also thundershowers depending on how the overcast skies play out. Rain intensity might pick up a bit more during the evening hours, so keep an umbrella handy, you know.

Jaipur Weather

Jaipur may witness thunderstorms along with scattered rain showers. Cloud cover will stay, plus gusty winds are expected.

Lucknow Weather

Lucknow is likely to experience rain plus thunderstorms, with moderate showers happening through the day rather steadily.

Kolkata Weather

Kolkata is going to stay kinda cloudy, with rain and also thunderstorms. Humid vibes are on the way, and you may see a few spells of heavier showers here and there.

Bengaluru Weather

Bengaluru seems set for on-off rain through the entire day, mostly because the skies will stay overcast. Temperatures should feel pleasant overall.

Chennai Weather

Chennai is likely to observe partly cloudy skies with light to moderate showers building later, especially toward the evening hours.

Hyderabad Weather

Hyderabad is expected to get thunderstorms together with moderate rainfall. A few pockets may catch short bouts of heavy showers.

Ahmedabad Weather

Ahmedabad is forecast to receive likely heavy rainfall, since active monsoon flow is continuing over Gujarat. There could be localised waterlogging in some places.

Shimla Weather

Shimla is likely to experience heavy rainfall along with thunderous activities. In the hilly stretches, fog may roll in, and visibility can drop somewhat.

Dehradun Weather

Dehradun is expected to get heavy, even very heavy, rain. That can lead to waterlogging, and in nearby hill districts, localised landslides aren’t out of the question.

Indore Weather

Indore should see heavy rain in several places, cloudy skies around, and occasional thunderstorms too.

Patna Weather

Patna is kind of expected to get heavy rain at times, and also thunderstorms. In vulnerable spots, localised flooding might show up, so be careful around low-lying areas.

Raipur Weather

Raipur is expected to get widespread moderate to heavy rainfall with isolated thunderstorms. This is not everywhere that will thunder, but many areas will see rain.

Srinagar Weather

Light to moderate rain is predicted in Srinagar, the forecast said. This can happen under mostly cloudy skies, with cool daytime temperatures.

There were two separate earthquakes just minutes apart. Both were around 7.5 & 7.2 magnitude, which are amongst the largest earthquakes ever recorded in the region. There have been mass evacuation and rescue efforts initiated by governments as they develop the numbers of injured and the amount of damage done.

Earthquake Today in Venezuela

The earthquakes themselves occurred approximately 15 minutes apart from each other. both of which registered very strong vibrations in the earth across most of the northern half of Venezuela as well as parts of neighbouring countries, thereby sparking emergency response planning, including evacuations to shelters.

Venezuela Earthquake: Magnitude

The earthquake (7.5 magnitude) occurred after the first earthquake (7.2 magnitude) observed. After that time, there were a large number of aftershocks which created increased concern about unsafe buildings and endangered the safety of the public.

Was There More Than One Earthquake?

Yes, there were two separate seismic events. Both earthquakes were confirmed by seismologists to have occurred as a result of geological reasons, and both earthquakes were confirmed to have also triggered a series of aftershocks. As both earthquakes produced a severe amount of energy and the one occurred 15/20 minutes after the first, it resulted in a total of three.

Earthquake Today in Venezuela: Check Epicentre

The strongest quake's epicentre was reported to be near San Felipe in Yaracuy state, some 32 kilometres from the city. The quake was shallow, meaning the shaking felt stronger on the surface and the risk of damage was higher.

Venezuela Earthquake: Areas Affected

The tremors were felt across the following:

Caracas

Yaracuy State

Aruba

Parts of Colombia

Several buildings, roads, and public infrastructure facilities reportedly sustained damage.

What is Latest Death Toll and Injury Count?

As per the authorities' confirmation statement, at least 164 people have died after the destructive earthquakes, and thousands more were injured. here with hospitals dealing with fractures, shock-related trauma injuries, and other problems linked to the quakes. Rescue teams keep moving through collapsed buildings, trying to find survivors, because there is still a chance.

Why Do Earthquakes Happen in Venezuela?

Venezuela is near the boundary between the Caribbean Plate and the South American Plate. As these tectonic plates drift and rub against each other. the geological stress builds up and then gets released quickly, sort of abruptly, as earthquakes. In northern Venezuela, the risk is especially high, largely because of multiple active fault systems that keep doing their thing.

Are Earthquakes Common in Venezuela?

Yes, they do happen from time to time, due to that tectonic setting. Small tremors can be relatively frequent, but major events above magnitude 7.0 are much rarer, and when they occur they can bring serious destruction.

Earthquake Today: Tsunami Alert

After the shaking, officials monitored sea-level shifts and what was happening along the coast. Emergency teams evaluated whether tsunami waves might reach nearby shorelines and parts of Caribbean islands. People living near the water were told to follow official guidance and to stay attentive for further updates.

How Are Rescue and Relief Operations Progressing?

Emergency responders, military personnel, and teams from international aid agencies have been sent to the zones that got hit. Search and rescue work is mainly on collapsed building areas, damaged neighbourhood zones, and the really important infrastructure parts. Temporary shelters, well, have also been put in place for people who had to leave their homes.

What Damage Has Been Reported So Far?

Initial assessments indicate:

building collapses in multiple city locations

roads and bridges, having been damaged

structural cracks seen in public facilities and residential complexes

Officials warn that damage estimates may rise as inspections continue.

Earthquake Today in Venezuela: Helpline Number

Authorities urge residents to reach out to local emergency services and disaster management lines for rescue help, medical problems, or shelter information.

Indian entrepreneur Kunal Shah has become the latest Indian-origin business leader drawing global buzz after Meta said he is the new global head of WhatsApp, reportedly tied to its $900 million investment in fintech startup CRED. Kunal Shah, who’s best known as the founder of CRED and co-founder of FreeCharge, has spent over two decades spinning startups, backing fresh-ish ventures, and helping shape India’s technology ecosystem. From taking on odd jobs during his family’s tighter financial phase to now leading one of the world's most used messaging platforms, his path feels pretty unreal, in a good way. Here’s basically everything you want to know about Kunal Shah, like his age, education, career, net worth, controversies, and what comes next for CRED.

Who is Kunal Shah? Meet the New WhatsApp Global CEO

Kunal Shah is an Indian entrepreneur, angel investor and startup mentor best known for founding CRED and co-founding digital payments platform FreeCharge. Born and brought up in Mumbai, Shah started his entrepreneurial journey in the early 2000s and gradually made a space for himself as one of India’s most influential fintech founders.

Apart from running businesses, he has put money into more than 200 startups across areas like fintech, artificial intelligence, logistics, education, and consumer tech, so he’s among the country's most active angel investors, even if he stays low-key at times.

Kunal Shah Age & Educational Background

Kunal Shah was born on May 20, 1983, in Mumbai. As of 2026, he is 43 years old.

Now, unlike many other tech founders, Shah didn’t really come from an engineering kind of background. He finished a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Wilson College, Mumbai, and he has often said that topic helped shape how he understands human behaviour and the whole decision-making part. After that, he joined an MBA programme at NMIMS, but he dropped it, like, to jump into entrepreneurship. Even without a technical degree, he still ended up building multiple startups that became worth billions of dollars.

Kunal Shah Career: From FreeCharge to CRED

His entrepreneurial journey started with a few smaller experiments first, and then he launched the cashback platform PaisaBack. But the real breakthrough people usually point to was in 2010 when he co-founded FreeCharge, a platform that provided rewards and cashback on mobile recharges.

FreeCharge then grew really fast, and it became one of India’s quickest rising digital payment companies. In 2015, it was acquired by Snapdeal, in a deal reported to be around ₹2,800 crore ($400-$450 million). That acquisition made it one of the country’s largest startup exits at the time.

After leaving FreeCharge, Shah worked with the global startup accelerator Y Combinator and acted as Chairman of the Internet and Mobile Association of India, or IAMAI. He also advised multiple venture capital firms and startups before starting his next venture.

Looking Back at the CRED Journey

In 2018, Shah founded CRED, a fintech platform that kinda rewards people for paying credit card dues on time. At first it was a kind of niche rewards thing, but then it slowly expanded into lending, payments, insurance, wealth management, and even commerce.

Under Shah's leadership, CRED became one of India’s most talked-about startups. The company pulled in funding from global investors, and it reportedly reached a valuation around $4.5 billion. By the numbers shared internally, CRED now helps millions of users, and it handles a big slice of India's credit card bill payments, like a serious portion of them.

Later, when Shah talked about the path after the WhatsApp announcement, he explained how CRED grew from a concept backed with personal capital into a pretty broad fintech ecosystem that serves consumers who are creditworthy, across the country, more or less.

Kunal Shah is the New WhatsApp CEO: Joining Meta to Lead WhatsApp

Meta’s choice to bring Kunal Shah in as WhatsApp’s new global chief is being framed as a big milestone in his career. Shah is said to take over from the long-time WhatsApp leader Will Cathcart, and he will be tasked with steering WhatsApp’s future expansion, a messaging service that touches more than two billion users worldwide.

What he’s expected to handle includes pushing forward business messaging, pushing monetisation efforts, folding in artificial intelligence features, and scaling WhatsApp operations globally. The whole move suggests Meta really trusts Shah’s track record as a builder and operator plus entrepreneur kind of mix.

After the announcement, Shah posted on social media with a simple line, “It’s been a minute,” and in the same breath, he reflected on his entrepreneurial ride and the shift to Meta, as well.

Is Kunal Shah Still With CRED? What Happens Next?

Even though Shah is moving to Meta full-time, he will keep being a shareholder in CRED. He has stepped away from day-to-day operations, with strategy and finance leader Miten Sampat taking over as interim CEO.

The company said its board will look at long-term leadership options while still pushing growth and also keeping an eye on a potential future IPO. CRED also mentioned that Meta’s investment doesn’t give access to customer data or a board seat in the company.

Kunal Shah Net Worth, Wife and Controversies

Kunal Shah’s estimated net worth is reported to be around ₹15,000 crore ($500-$600 million), mostly because of his stake in CRED, the FreeCharge exit, and investments in more than 200 startups.

He is married to Bhavna Shah, a freelance graphic designer. The two keep a low profile and hardly show up in public.

Over time, Shah has also run into criticism linked to CRED’s valuation, profitability concerns, and the platform’s tendency to focus on high credit score users. His comments about wealth, privilege, and entrepreneurship have often started debates online. Even with all of that, he still shows up as one of India’s most influential startup founders.

Kunal Shah Awards and Interesting Facts

Shah has been recognised via things like the Forbes India Leadership Awards, Economic Times Startup Awards, and Fortune India’s 40 Under 40 list. Also, he studied philosophy rather than engineering. During tough periods, he reportedly worked as a delivery boy and data-entry operator, draws a symbolic salary from CRED, and has backed hundreds of startups across India.

As he begins a new chapter leading WhatsApp, Kunal Shah's rise from Mumbai entrepreneur to global tech executive stands as one of the most notable success stories in India's startup ecosystem.

Earthquakes aren’t really “new” or suddenly showing up in huge numbers all over the world, at least not in the simple way people often say. Still, a few scientific and observational things are making them look like they’re more frequent this year. Here’s a kind of clear, but not too complicated, look at the main causes behind the recent pattern of seismic activity.

Why Do Earthquakes Occur Due to Tectonic Plate Movements?

Due to a few earthquakes, mainly happening, Earth’s crust is divided into large tectonic plates that constantly move.

When these plates collide, slide, or pull apart, pressure builds up. But this stress may exceed the strength of rocks; it is released as seismic energy. This may cause an earthquake.

Areas close to plate boundaries, like the Pacific Ring of Fire, keep getting small-to-medium quakes because the plates are constantly doing their thing.

Are We Actually Detecting More Earthquakes in 2026?

One big reason it can look like “more quakes” is that detection has improved a lot.

Today’s seismic monitoring networks, satellites, and even AI-based systems can spot very small earthquakes that older instruments often missed. So the count rises, even when the underlying natural rate hasn’t changed all that dramatically

Is the Pacific Ring of Fire Responsible for Frequent Earthquakes?

Yes, most of the big global earthquakes come from the Pacific Ring of Fire, sort of a horseshoe-shaped belt around the Pacific Ocean.

In that area you find places like Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines and also parts of the Americas. Because several tectonic plates keep interacting, it ends up being one of the Earth’s most active seismic belts, really.

Why Do Aftershocks Make Earthquakes Seem More Frequent?

After a major quake, the crust keeps sort of readjusting and releasing the remaining strain. Those smaller tremors are aftershocks.

There can be hundreds of aftershocks over days or even weeks after just one major event. Hence, seismic activity feels nonstop in the places that were hit.

Does climate change cause earthquakes directly?

Climate change does not directly cause tectonic earthquakes. However, scientists are studying indirect effects such as the following:

Melting glaciers removing some pressure from Earth’s crust

changes in water distribution affecting stress in certain regions

These effects are still under research and not considered a primary cause of major earthquakes.

Why Are Some Regions Experiencing Earthquake Swarms?

Earthquake swarms are like bunches of smaller to medium tremors that pop up close together, usually over a short span, and without that one big, clear main shock to grab the headline.

A lot of the time these swarms show up because of

Movement of magma under volcanoes

Fluid moving through deep fault corridors

Stress getting shuffled around in places that are already seismically active

When this happens, people can end up feeling seismic activity as unusually frequent, kind of relentless for a while.

Are Earthquakes Actually Increasing or Just More Reported?

Worldwide, there isn’t really strong scientific proof that the total count of big earthquakes is climbing year after year in a dramatic way.

What has changed instead is more of a “we see it better” story, including

Improved global monitoring

Quicker updates and coverage through media , and social platforms

More public awareness in general

This makes earthquakes feel more common than in the past.

Earthquakes are a natural, ongoing geological process, most often caused by tectonic plate movement. What seems to be a sudden increase in frequency is really just better detection, aftershock activity and clustering of events in a region.

As temperatures have hit 45°C, heatwaves become more than just a seasonal annoyance. But at this time this has turned into a serious health risk. Roming out in such extreme heat weather for too long can lead to dehydration, heat exhaustion, heatstroke, and other dangers that could be fatal without proper care. Given how temperatures are soaring in many parts of India. Now it's crucial to know both prevention methods and simple home remedies to handle the heat.

Here's a handy guide covering home fixes, weather trends, safety steps, common triggers, and the major health hazards tied to sweltering heat.

What Are Home Remedies for Heatwaves Against 45°C Temperatures?

As you know, home remedies are basic, traditional & desi approaches. This will lead the body to regulate its temperature and keep dehydration under control without leaning on clinical treatment. In these tough heat conditions, they can act like a first line of defence, sort of like an early shield before things become complicated.

Some of the most effective cooling remedies include:

Nimbu Pani (Lemon Water): This is one of the best natural ‘Desi Jugaad' drinks, as it has electrolytes. It restores salt balance and prevents dehydration.

Coconut Water: This water is loaded with many healthy properties like potassium, magnesium, and natural sugars that refresh the body instantly.

Buttermilk (Chaas): This is one of the milk products which will lead to proper digestion and cool down your internal body heat.

Jeera (Cumin) Water: This natural syrup-type drink will help you to reduce bloating and regulate body temperature.

Fennel Water: This desi drink is known for its cooling properties and digestive benefits.

Bael Sherbet: A traditional Ayurvedic-style drink that helps protect the stomach from heat-related troubles.

External remedies also help:

Aloe vera gel soothes skin burns and helps calm heat rashes.

Sandalwood paste reduces that burning feeling on the forehead as well as on the body.

Mint leaves (pudina) in water or even mixed into food can provide natural cooling.

Weather Update Today

In many parts of North India, like Haryana and nearby areas, the weather situation right now seems to be doing something pretty harsh: severe heatwave conditions, with temperatures going up to about 42°C to 45°C. The afternoons feel extremely hot, mostly because dry winds keep on adding to the heat intensity. Even in the evenings, the nights stay warm, and there’s very little actual relief since the air seems to hold onto that trapped warmth. On top of that, UV exposure is pretty high, so the chances of sunburn and general exhaustion rise quicker than usual.

Meteorological departments sometimes put out heatwave alerts when temperatures hang around way above normal for a few days in a row. Basically, it tells you the air is in a sort of high-risk state, so spending time outdoors should be cut down as much as you can.

Do’s & Don’ts

“Simple rules that can protect your health": here are the do’s and don’ts, a bit like common sense but still important

Do’s:

Drink water, regularly even if you don’t feel thirsty

Wear loose-fitting cotton clothes, something that lets your skin breathe.

You can have seasonal fruits such as watermelon, cucumber and muskmelon.

You are required to try to stay indoors during peak hours (12 PM-4 PM).

You may go for use of umbrellas, caps, or scarves when you step out.

You should take short breaks in shaded or cooler spaces

Don’ts:

You should try to avoid alcohol, energy drinks and too much caffeine.

Don’t eat heavy oily, or very spicy food.

Avoid staying in direct sun for long stretches.

Do not ignore dizziness fatigue or nausea; if your body says stop, listen.

Never leave children or pets inside parked vehicles, even “just for a minute".

If you follow these simple rules, the chances of heat-related illnesses drop quite a lot.

Why Are These High Temperatures, Heatwaves & Extreme Weather Conditions Happening?

Extreme heat isn’t really random; it is more like the outcome of lots of environmental and climatic stuff happening together, kind of in layers:

Climate change and global warming are pushing average temperatures higher, year after year.

Urbanisation: Cities built with lots of concrete and dark surfaces tend to hold on to heat, creating “urban heat islands” that feel worse than the surrounding areas.

Deforestation: when tree cover decreases, natural cooling becomes weaker and more heat gets soaked in.

Weather patterns and high-pressure systems can basically trap hot air over a region for longer stretches.

Delayed monsoon: when rains get pushed back, the dry spell lasts, and the heat stays longer than it should be.

These combined factors are making heatwaves more frequent, intense, and longer in duration.

Which Diseases/People Will Be Affected the Most?

Heatwaves can affect anyone, but some groups are clearly more vulnerable.

High-risk individuals:

Older adults, especially people above 60 years

Infants and small children

People who work outside such as farmers, construction workers, and delivery staff

Anyone with heart disease kidney disease, or respiratory problems

Pregnant women

Common heat-related illnesses:

Heat exhaustion is basically when you feel really weak and you start sweating too much; then dizziness comes, and nausea can show up. But this heatstroke is getting more serious, which likely may lead to a medical emergency. In this case your body temperature jumps dangerously high, and it can get bad fast. Dehydration is also common; it happens when fluids drop too low, and then fatigue and confusion may appear. Heat cramps feel like muscle pain, often from a salt imbalance. Skin rashes can show up too, usually because of excessive sweating and blocked pores. If you see confusion, unconsciousness or an extremely high body temperature, then immediate medical attention is crucial.

Eat Light and Cooling Foods

Food really matters when you’re trying to manage body heat, especially during heatwaves. Eating lots of water-rich fruits like watermelon, muskmelon, oranges, cucumber, and even mixed salads can help keep you hydrated. This means it supports the whole cooling process. On the other hand, yoghurt, curd, and buttermilk work in a gentler way too. This may also calm the digestive system and make you feel less overheated. You should try to stay away from fried, oily, spicy, and processed foods, because they tend to raise internal heat, and then it feels uncomfortable pretty fast.

Use Natural Body Coolants

Natural coolants can bring relief fast, and they don’t feel as harsh. Aloe vera gel can be spread on the skin to reduce that burning feeling. Rose water also refreshes your face in a matter of seconds. Mint leaves are kind of a cool-from-within option when eaten, while sandalwood paste may help with heat rashes and give some comfort during heavy sun exposure.

Dress Smartly for Heat Protection

Proper clothing protects the body from extreme heat. Wear light-coloured, loose cotton clothes that allow air circulation. Avoid dark colours, as they absorb heat. Cover your head with a cap, scarf, or umbrella. Breathable fabrics help sweat evaporate easily, keeping body temperature balanced and reducing heat stress effectively.

Cool Your Body with Simple Techniques

As the weather is getting harsh, small and simple techniques are often enough for fast relief. You should rinse your face and hands with cool water now and then. As research says, taking lukewarm showers twice a day can calm the body down. Also, if you have the chance, set a wet cloth on your neck or on your forehead; that small step can lower your temperature. Soaking your feet in cool water works too; it can relax you and reduce heat-related tiredness pretty quickly.

Recognize Warning Signs of Heatstroke

Few signs of heatstroke, which may include dizziness and confusion, nausea, fast heartbeat, vomiting, and also extreme body temperature. There may be no or very excessive perspiration as a sign. The body may also be overheated and needs immediate medical attention. If someone feels any signs, move them to a cooler environment and provide them with fluids as soon as possible. You are required to take them emergency medical assistance as soon as possible.

Staying cool, hydrated, and alert is not just comfort; it is essential for health and survival during severe heatwaves.
