Heavy to extremely heavy showers are likely around Mumbai today; there is a real chance of waterlogging in low-lying pockets, plus traffic may get messed up. People should get ready for those really intense monsoon bursts pretty much through the whole day.
Pune should see moderate rain, maybe even heavy rain, along with thunderstorms. Short, broken spells of rain can keep coming, especially later, like afternoon and evening time.
Delhi is expected to get thunderstorms with lightning and moderate rainfall along with gusty winds. A quick burst of heavy rain might mess with peak travel hours, though, briefly but enough to slow things down.
Noida will likely receive moderate rain with thunderstorms, plus a few bouts of gusty wind. Cloudy conditions should stick around all day – no real break.
Ghaziabad is forecast for moderate rainfall and thunderstorms. During the heavier stretches, water may collect in low areas. You should be careful if you’re stepping out.
Gurugram is likely to face thunderstorms, moderate rain and gusty winds. During the more intense spell, you can expect traffic disruption, delays and the usual chaos.
Faridabad is going to stay cloudy with moderate rain, plus thunderstorms. Humid conditions are expected too, and sometimes heavy showers may pop in, off and on.
Sonipat may get light to moderate rainfall along with thunderstorms. Still, isolated very heavy showers cannot be totally ruled out.
Chandigarh is expected to see scattered rain and thunderstorms. Temperatures should feel fairly pleasant, while cloudy skies remain in place for most of the day.
Ambala is forecast to receive moderate rain and thunderstorms. There could be a few short heavy spells during the afternoon period. Hence, you should keep an eye on the sky.
Panchkula may see scattered showers and also thundershowers depending on how the overcast skies play out. Rain intensity might pick up a bit more during the evening hours, so keep an umbrella handy, you know.
Jaipur may witness thunderstorms along with scattered rain showers. Cloud cover will stay, plus gusty winds are expected.
Lucknow is likely to experience rain plus thunderstorms, with moderate showers happening through the day rather steadily.
Kolkata is going to stay kinda cloudy, with rain and also thunderstorms. Humid vibes are on the way, and you may see a few spells of heavier showers here and there.
Bengaluru seems set for on-off rain through the entire day, mostly because the skies will stay overcast. Temperatures should feel pleasant overall.
Chennai is likely to observe partly cloudy skies with light to moderate showers building later, especially toward the evening hours.
Hyderabad is expected to get thunderstorms together with moderate rainfall. A few pockets may catch short bouts of heavy showers.
Ahmedabad is forecast to receive likely heavy rainfall, since active monsoon flow is continuing over Gujarat. There could be localised waterlogging in some places.
Shimla is likely to experience heavy rainfall along with thunderous activities. In the hilly stretches, fog may roll in, and visibility can drop somewhat.
Dehradun is expected to get heavy, even very heavy, rain. That can lead to waterlogging, and in nearby hill districts, localised landslides aren’t out of the question.
Indore should see heavy rain in several places, cloudy skies around, and occasional thunderstorms too.
Patna is kind of expected to get heavy rain at times, and also thunderstorms. In vulnerable spots, localised flooding might show up, so be careful around low-lying areas.

Light to moderate rain is predicted in Srinagar, the forecast said. This can happen under mostly cloudy skies, with cool daytime temperatures.
