            <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong>“Autism and Beyond” Conference 2026: </strong>Awareness, acceptance, and early intervention still sit among the most important things for improving the lives of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), honestly. When we bring experts in the room with parents, educators, policymakers and community leaders, the whole conversation gets sharper, and the outcomes tend to improve. The State-Level Conference on ASD, titled “Autism and Beyond – Navigating the Spectrum of Possibilities&#8221;, happened at the Brahma Kumaris Global Peace Auditorium in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, on June 7, 2026. It was organised by Dr Kiron Autism Mission, and you could really feel the momentum there, with more than 1,000 attendees showing up. The discussions centred on building stronger support systems, pushing inclusion forward, and encouraging action at the policy level for individuals on the autism spectrum.</p>
<h2>What Is Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) &amp; Why Is Awareness Important?</h2>
<p>Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is one of the neurodevelopmental disorders. This impacts communication, behaviour, social interaction and learning patterns. Also, autism manifests differently in each individual, but if diagnosed early, intervention, awareness and community support can make a big difference in outcomes and quality of life.</p>
<p>The conference was a big step in raising awareness, inclusion and support for people with autism to encourage discussions on evidence-based interventions, support systems and inclusive opportunities for people on the autism spectrum and was organised by Dr Kiron Autism Mission.<br />

<h2>Who Attended the &#8220;Autism and Beyond&#8221; Conference in Hyderabad?</h2>
<p>Several eminent personalities graced the event. They are actor, producer, politician and philanthropist M. Murali Mohan; actor and producer Raja Ravindra; Deputy Director of NIEPID Secunderabad Dr V. Sravan Reddy; and renowned gynaecologist Dr Shilpi Reddy.</p>
<p>Here the participation underscored the increasing importance of autism awareness. This led to the need for collective action to support affected children and families. <p>Lion Dr Y. Kiron, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Bulgaria, CEO of Suchirindia Group and Founder of Dr Kiron Autism Mission, spoke about his personal commitment towards autism awareness and support, addressing the gathering.</p>
<p>“Spending time with children with autism has been an inspiration and strength in my life,” said Dr Kiron.</p>
<p>“When I’m feeling down, I go and hang out with the autism kids. I sit on the floor and play with them and interact with them. It recharges me totally. “I find being with these children to be like a meditation,” he said.</p>
<p>He emphasised the need for policy-level reforms and called upon governments to establish child development centres at the mandal level to ensure that families living in poverty get access to diagnosis, therapy and support services closer to their communities.</p>
<p>He said autism affects families across all social and economic strata, and there is a need for greater awareness and decentralised support systems in Telangana and India.</p>
<h2>Why &amp; How Did Murali Mohan Extend Support to Dr. Kiron Autism Mission?</h2>
<p>Veteran actor and former MP M. Murali Mohan appreciated Dr Kiron’s dedication towards social causes and charity activities for several years.</p>
<p>He described autism as one of the most formidable realities of life and noted the extraordinary role of parents, especially mothers, in caring for children on the spectrum.</p>
<p>&#8220;Mothers are the real gods. “I have seen a woman in my family, who has a child with autism, with so much patience and sacrifice,” he said.</p>
<p>Murali Mohan said awareness, acceptance, patience and equal opportunities can change the lives of children with autism. He also urged governments to provide better support systems for families affected.</p>
<p>While he was concluding his address, he declared support for the Dr Kiron Autism Mission. Here they pledged to contribute to its efforts to create a better future for children with autism.</p>

<p>Dr V. Sravan Reddy, Deputy Director, NIEPID, Secunderabad, stressed the need for early screening, timely intervention and community-based support systems.</p>
<p>He said autism is not a disease but a neurodevelopmental condition that needs to be understood, accepted and treated with evidence-based intervention.</p>
<p>“Early identification helps children with autism improve their communication, learning abilities and independent living skills,&#8221; said Dr Sravan Reddy.</p>
<p>He urged parents to seek professional help if they see delays in developmental milestones and called for greater collaboration among parents, teachers and health professionals and policymakers.</p>

<p>Devoted sessions were conducted by developmental paediatricians, psychologists, therapists, medical professionals and special educators.</p>
